Coaching

In the old traditional model there was no place for coaching. Managers told their staff what to do and that was it. No discussion possible. But today one of the most important aspects of professional life is the need for coaching and being coached. If we are to get the best out of every employee, we need a different, more personal approach.

Coaching is not a new management fad and management cannot go through the motions. ‘Ah well, if they want to be pampered, let’s coach them, as long as they do what we want.’ Coaching is an art that requires a keen interest in people, a solid investment (both in time and effort) and a firm belief that individuals perform better and contribute more when they work in an environment that stimulates personal growth.

One-on-One Coaching
This type of coaching can be used for:
• Career rescue (employees who for some reason have got stuck in their career or job and under-perform)
• Career development
• Career change.

The process invariably starts with intake interviews, one with the manager and one with the employee. With these interviews we put together a plan of action and define the output that is required.

Group Coaching
This type of coaching can be used to enhance the performance of groups who need to work together as a team.
